People On Purpose Project for 2011

A new “Purpose Project” for this year (which actually began towards the end of 2010) is the People On Purpose Project. It’s my desire to connect with as many people who are living true to their life purpose and to share many of them with you on the Living & Working On Purpose Blog.

One of the richest golden veins of purposeful people I’ve found is the T.E.D. Talks, which is where the idea started when I heard Jessica Jackley of Kiva.org talk.  My next person on purpose that I’d like to share with you is Nic Marks.  Nic gathers evidence about what makes us happy, and uses it to promote policy that puts the well-being of people and the planet first. He’s the founder of the Centre for Well-Being at the UK think tank New Economics Foundation (NEF).
Here’s his T.E.D. Talk.

Pay particular attention to the five ways to well-being and happiness towards the end of this inspirational and instructive talk.  See how many of these you’ve included in your daily activities. Go here for more on the five ways to well-being.
