Believe it or not, here in most of the USA, daylight saving time will begin this coming weekend, the second Sunday of March by 'springing ahead' — setting our clocks ahead by one hour.
Now I don't know about you, but I detest this time change. I even threatened to not participate this year, then realized being an hour off from everyone else would be simply too challenging in the long run. So, instead I decided to 'purposefully prepare' for it by starting to retire an hour earlier than usual this next week.
I generally 'turn out my lights' around 11 pm most nights, so I'm going to prepare to turn out the lights at 10 pm instead. My theory is that by the weekend, it won't be so disruptive to my body to make the 'spring ahead.'
We'll see. Anyone care to join me? Let me know how it goes or if you have a better plan…like moving to Arizona where they don't honor daylight savings.
