Ok, I’m an American Idol fan. While I’m not all that keen on the first part of each season where they seem to stress showing those with ‘less talent,’ I do love the show once everyone heads to Hollywood. Recently I found an interesting interview by one of season 5’s contestant, Mandisa.
Remember her? She was voted off on April 5, and some wondered if it had anything to do with the gospel song that she’d chosen the week before. Here’s a few comments that I found of particular interest from the interview conducted by Kelly Jad’on that recently appeared on BlogCritics:
Mandisa, what is your passion in life?
My passion in life is to have a life on purpose, to make a difference. I’d like to be an example to those living with no reason.
What do you want the world to know most about you?
I serve a God who has saved me, redeemed me, and given my life purpose. I want to show people the joy that comes from living a life serving Jesus.
Way to go Mandisa. Living on purpose is what it’s all about, and to be awake to that so early in life, what a gift. But really, it’s never to late or too early. The best time to step upon the Purposeful Path is NOW. Really, it’s the only time.
