What age group do you specialize in coaching?
I specialize in coaching those in retirement or nearing retirement. While I’m open to younger clients, my strength lies in working with individuals who are at least in their forties, most commonly 60+.
I’m not very tech-savvy. Is this going to be a problem?
Not at all! I enjoy teaching today’s technology to those who might not be familiar with it. My aim is to make the technological aspect of writing as comfortable as possible for you.
What are the common struggles your clients face?
The most frequent struggles I see are lack of time, lack of confidence, and not knowing how to take the first steps into completing a novel including the publishing process. My coaching focuses on overcoming these mental and emotional roadblocks to help you move forward, and assisting my clients to win the inner game of being an author.
What is the financial commitment for your coaching program?
My clients are generally in a stable financial situation where a monthly investment of $400 – $800 for 4+ months is manageable, although it might be a bit of a stretch.
What drives your clients to write?
Most of my clients aim to make a meaningful contribution through their writing as part of their life legacy. While making money is a nice bonus, it’s usually not their primary goal. If making money is your main objective, my coaching program might not be the best fit for you.
What’s the format of your coaching? Do you offer group sessions or courses?
Currently, I specialize in one-on-one coaching to provide personalized support tailored to each client’s needs.
Do I need to be part of a writing community or group?
No, you don’t have to be, although it can be beneficial. I can offer you various options for community involvement including my Creative Collaboration Community that is available through my Substack newsletter.
How can a Write On Purpose Coach help me specifically?
A Write On Purpose Coach provides you with the necessary tools to break down mental barriers, helps you manage your time better, builds up your writing confidence, and offers accountability. In essence, I’ll help turn your ‘someday’ into ‘today.’
What’s the next step if I’m interested?
If you’re ready to take your writing journey to the next level, I offer a no-cost, no-obligation Creative Clarity Session. It’s a chance for us to discuss your writing goals, struggles, and see if we’re a good fit. You can schedule this consultation by going to my Coaching Page and completing the coaching form at the bottom of the page.
